I Moderated an Open Mic. Event at Jefferson Market Library Last Night, May 15, 2024 for HNS-NYC Members

This was a lovely and fun event, with published and work-in-progress historical novels ranging from the 408 A.D. to the 1970s. Readings went for 2 minutes each, then an open discussion. The readers were: Andrew Kas, Lisa Yarde, Helen Lundstrom Erwin, Diane Simmons, Christina Britton Conroy, Jeri Hilderley,  Kate Bahlke Hornstein, Martha Hoffman, Anne Marie Brumm, Faith Justoce.

The feedback was that we want more of these events. A great chance to test a quality audience. The readings with titles were recorded and will be up on HNS-NYC’s Spotify channel soon, with links to author websites.

Go, happy writers! This is the most fun part of the industry.
