The International Women’s Club in Israel BOOK GROUP has programmed my novel for their December meeting. They meet in lovely Tel Aviv. I am SO thrilled. I will Zoom in for the meeting. Stay tuned! The book group’s leader, Jennifer Lang, is a wonderful award-winning writer who teaches creative writing. So I am moved, flattered and a bit nervous. I was married in Jerusalem and have had precious adventures in Israel. I think what attracts these readers to The Reversible Mask are the inner conflicts my spy protagonist lives with, as he tries to balance his Catholic faith with his patriotic commitment to his Protestant birth country of England, that his emotional tangles four hundred years ago resonate. To be in Israel is to be cheek to jowel with tough issues. Be well, all. You never know what’s around the corner.
